Two people have been killed and several others wounded when fire broke out on Saturday in the old Custom market (also known as Nyakama) in Juba, Southern Sudan.
Police in Juba have linked the incident to homicide. Captain David Marbing Majok of the Crime Investigation Unit told Miraya FM that three people have been taken in by police for investigation.
A similar incident occurred on Saturday morning at the northern part of the same market, burning over ten houses and stalls. Eye witnesses said the Civil Defense Forces were able to contain the fire. There have been no reports of casualties.
