UN and Donors have lauded efforts exerted by the Sudanese government in the implementation of the CPA and the DDR program.
In the meeting organized by the higher coordinating committee including Sudanese government, UN and Donors, the donors affirmed their support to the DDR program and lauded the efforts exerted in this regard.
The DDR commissioner for North Sudan, Dr. Sulafulddin Salih, said that the coordinative meeting, which was headed by Prof. Al-Yias Nhiam reviewed the latest developments in the DDR program and that all the participants in the meeting including UN and Donors have lauded the efforts exerted in this regard.
He revealed that they will continue cooperation with the international community to render the DDR program which is the backbone of CPA, successful.
It's to be noted here that, the minister of presidency affairs and the chairman of the National Council of DDR, Lt. General Bakri Hassan Salih had suggested the formation of this tripartite mechanism which includes, Sudanese government, UN and Donors.
