(SV) CPA partners, the National Congress Party (NCP) and Sudan Peoples' Liberation Movement (SPLM) have resumed their behind-closed doors dialogue in Cairo under the auspices of the Egyptian government . Presidential Advisor, NCP Deputy Chairman, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie presides the NCP delegation, while SPLM Secretary general Pagan Amum presides the Movement's delegation to the talks. Commenting on the first two days of dialogue, an Egyptian official source stated that talks were constructive as they were focusing reconciliation of partners' views divergence, adding that the meeting comes within the framework of the historical role of Egypt in bolstering the unity, stability and security of Sudan. Representatives to the two delegations noted that each party had transparently presented its views as to how to preserve Sudan unity ahead of the self-determination referendum set for early January 2011. Representatives of the CPA partners agreed on the progressive role assumed by Egypt in closing rifts between the two parties in connection with the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed in 2005 Education, Health and Economic Development as NCP kicks off Southern campaign Education, health and more economic developments in Southern Sudan were some campaign promises mentioned on Monday when the National Congress Party (NCP) launched electoral campaigning for Southern Sudan in Juba. In the NCP's first southern rally, Presidential Security Advisor, Salah Abdullah Gosh, promised security to all, stressing security as the basis for peace, human rights protection and freedom. The NCP, he said, will make justice and rule of law the backbone of Sudanese society, adding that the party's policy aims to end violence against women. Gosh expounded on NCP's policy for Southern Sudan, saying taxes and school fees will be reviewed and more will be done to ensure equitable distribution of wealth in the region. The NCP, Gosh further said, will build more roads and a better airport in Southern Sudan. The NCP's official campaign launch for Southern Sudan on Monday was also used as a platform to highlight party candidate for Governor of Central Equatoria State, James Loro Cirisio.
