The Sudanese Trade Union of Petroleum, Chemicals and Mining will host today the meeting No. 12 of the AU Trade Unions of oil, chemical industries and similar materials.

The meeting is the first one to be held in Sudan since the establishment of union in April 1981.

The meeting aims to develop the African continent and to connect the workers of the said field with each other while Sudan was selected to host the said meeting for supporting it against the international allegations.

The union is considered one of the most important unions in Africa whereas it compromises more than 50 trade unions and participation of more than 40 African countries besides its membership in international organizations.

It is to be noted that the headquarters of the said union is Tripoli, Libya.
